Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Deptford, NJ is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable tests.

You will work under the Center Manager (and Assistant Manager as applicable) and Center Physician for medical guidance. You will follow SOPs for emergencies and contribute to safety, EHS, and vaccination programs while upholding regulatory

Qualifications

• CPR and AED certification required.
• EMT license or nursing license required.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history, and physical examination.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and determine need for occupational health review.
• Refer to EHS guidance for employee incidents.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS or Medical Affairs.
