BioLife Plasma Services in Sheboygan is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to determine donor eligibility, review medical history, perform exams, and interpret lab results. You will ensure donor safety and manage adverse events under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

Two years in a clinical setting, LPN/LVN licensure, and CPR/AED certification are required; IV therapy training and BioLife training are also expected.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified as LPN/LVN in the state of responsibilities.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Basic IV therapy certification as required by state.
• FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training completed.
• At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsabilités

• Determine donor eligibility with informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, and medical history review.
• Perform physical examination, blood testing, and review SPE results.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized.
