Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Wisconsin seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, and review lab results. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician for medical guidance and ensure regulatory adherence within the plasma collection environment.

The role requires nursing licensure (LPN/LVN), CPR/AED, and prior clinical experience, with clinical support for vaccination programs and occupational health processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Currently licensed/certified as LPN/LVN in the responsible state.
• CPR and AED certification currently valid.
• Fulfill state basic IV therapy requirements.
• Complete FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• At least two years in a clinical/hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer findings to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance.
• Possibly serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized.
