BioLife Plasma Services in Liberty, MO is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations and ensure donor safety. You will determine donor eligibility, review laboratory test results, manage donor adverse events, and notify donors of unsuitable results.

You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician, adhering to industry regulations and SOPs, while supporting vaccination programs and EHS initiatives in a fast-paced plasma donation

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified as LPN or LVN in the state of responsibilities.
• CPR and AED certification is required.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Aufgaben

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing SPE results.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies following SOPs and center physician standing orders.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues and donor safety and eligibility.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable; assist with EHS guidance.
