BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary operating in Belton, MO, seeks a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review test results, and notify donors of unsuitable findings under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

You will work within regulatory guidelines for plasma collection, EHS considerations, and FDA training requirements, with a focus on patient safety and donor care.

Qualifications

• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
• Familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment
• FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist

Responsabilités

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs
• Review laboratory test results (SPE) and notify donors of unsuitable results
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical guidance
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS

Formation

EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P licensing

LPN/LVN nursing license

RN nursing license

CPR/AED certification

IV therapy training
