Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, including nursing program equivalence per state requirements.
• Currently licensed/certified in the responsible state: EMT-Paramedic.
• CPR and AED certification must be current.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• At least 2 years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history interview, physical exam, blood testing, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and arrange emergency care per center physician standing orders.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and escalate per occupational health/EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator if authorized by EHS."},
