Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist to assess donor eligibility, manage donor reactions, review SPE results, and notify donors of unsuitable findings. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician, ensuring regulatory compliance and center-level EH&S support.

The role covers coordination with Medical Affairs and EHS, and involves involvement in donor safety, program administration, and adherence to plasma collection industry standards.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or certified in the state of responsibilities (CA).
• Experience in a clinical or hospital setting (2 years).
• Familiar with donor screening, eligibility, and adverse event management.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees (Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu).
• Manage occupational health incidents with EHS guidance.
