Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist in Michigan. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify suitable/unsuitable test results under the supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

The role requires EMT-B/A/I or nursing licensure (RN/LPN/LVN), CPR/AED certification, and at least two years in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold state licensure in EMT-B/A/I or nursing (LPN/LVN or RN).
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Minimum of two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• FDA training requirements completed for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings or guidance.
• Support vaccination programs for employees where applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with EHS for investigations.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
