Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Flint, MI is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support donor eligibility, monitor safety, and respond to medical events in a busy plasma center.

Under Center Manager supervision and Center Physician medical guidance, you will ensure compliance with FDA requirements and participate in EHS programs while contributing to high-quality donor care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nursing education.
• Licensed or certified EMT-Paramedic in the responsible state.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• FDA training completed for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on findings.
• Support vaccination programs for employees where applicable.
• Assist with occupational health/ER evaluations as needed.
