Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Columbus, GA is hiring a Medical Support Specialist to help run the plasma center with emphasis on donor safety and regulatory compliance.

You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory results, and coordinate with the Center Physician and Medical Affairs for medical issues, while supporting EHS and vaccination programs for staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus nursing program graduate as applicable.
• State licensure for EMT levels or nursing license (RN/LPN).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent and screening.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and Medical Affairs.
