Job summary

POET in Jewell, IA is seeking a Plant Technician to operate plant processing equipment, perform routine maintenance, and manage QA/QC sampling. This on-site role requires adapting to a 12-hour shift rotation across days and nights, with weekend and holiday coverage as needed.

Responsibilities include operating the DCS, basic electrical troubleshooting, and following SOPs for start-up, shutdown, cleaning, and batching while maintaining accurate logs and supporting safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in production environments preferred for higher levels.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant processing equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain accurate logs and test QA/QC samples; document results.
• Operate the DCS and perform basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Follow SOPs for start-up, shut-down, cleaning, and batching.
• Be able to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
