Job summary

POET is seeking a Plant Technician to operate and maintain automated plant processing equipment at the on-site Iowa facility. You will monitor, adjust, and document processes, ensuring safe and efficient bioprocessing operations.

The role requires 12-hour shifts, with a focus on maintaining process flow, equipment reliability, and data accuracy. Candidates should have a high school diploma and relevant production experience, plus strong troubleshooting and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a production environment preferred.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts.
• Experience with Maximo is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant processing equipment and monitor automated systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs.
• Document maintenance activities and log results.
• Operate the DCS and perform electrical troubleshooting.
• Follow SOPs for start-up/shut-down and batching.
• Collect QA/QC samples and log results in PI.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards.
• Assist with preventive and predictive maintenance.
