Job summary

POET in Macon, Missouri is seeking a Plant Technician to operate and maintain automated bioprocessing equipment. You will follow SOPs, document results, and support safety and quality initiatives.

Responsibilities include operating DCS, basic electrical troubleshooting, and protective equipment use; you’ll work 12-hour shifts on-site and contribute to a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement at POET.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Experience in a production environment preferred for Technician I.
• Experience with math, reading comprehension and mechanical reasoning is required.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plant processing equipment.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• Operate the DCS (Distributed Control System).
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and follow SOPs.
• Maintain logs and collect QA/QC samples.
