Job summary

POET in Hudson, SD is seeking a Plant Technician to operate and maintain equipment in a highly automated bioprocessing facility. You will follow SOPs, operate the DCS, and perform basic electrical troubleshooting while keeping detailed logs.

Position requires a high school diploma and flexibility for 12-hour shifts with call-in as needed, and a strong emphasis on safety and environmental compliance. On-site work in Hudson, SD is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Plant Technician I: production environment experience preferred.
• Plant Technician II: proven performance as Technician I or equivalent.
• Plant Technician III: demonstrated proficiency per skills checklist.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required.
• Experience with Maximo and basic software systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant processing equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain and repair plant equipment and document activities.
• Operate the DCS for the plant.
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Follow SOPs for start-up, shut-down, cleaning, and batching.
• Maintain accurate logs and QA/QC data entries.
• Assist in preventive and predictive maintenance.
