Job summary

POET is seeking a Plant Technician to operate and maintain all plant processing equipment in a highly automated bioprocessing facility. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot basic issues, and ensure safety while following SOPs.

This on-site role requires adaptability to 12-hour shifts and call-in readiness. Responsibilities include operating the DCS, logging results, and supporting preventive maintenance while maintaining quality and cleanliness across the plant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Plant Technician I: production experience preferred.
• Plant Technician II: proven experience as Tech I.
• Plant Technician III: proficiency per Skills Checklist.
• Must be able to adapt to 12-hour shifts.
• Ability to meet call-in requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plant processing equipment.
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Follow SOPs for start-up, shut-down, cleaning and batching.
• Maintain logs and QA/QC samples.
• Assist in preventive and predictive maintenance.
