Job summary

POET Gowrie Plant is seeking a Plant Technician to operate and maintain all plant processing equipment in a highly automated facility. You will perform routine maintenance, assist with equipment repairs, and document QA/QC results as part of a safety-focused team.

Responsibilities include operating the DCS, electrical troubleshooting, and following SOPs. This on-site role requires adapting to a 12-hour shift rotation with day/night blocks.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills are essential.
• Microsoft Office familiarity and ability to learn new programs are expected.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plant processing equipment.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs of plant equipment.
• Record logs and QA/QC results accurately in data systems.
• Assist in start-up, shut-down, and sanitation procedures.
• Work 12-hour shifts (days and nights) on-site in Gowrie, IA.
