Job summary

With at least five years in manufacturing supervision, you will train staff, enforce safety rules, manage inventories and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of manufacturing/production supervisory experience.
• Understanding of planning and processes in a recycling environment and the impact of health, safety and environmental issues.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the company.
• Ability to write reports, procedures manuals and business correspondence.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups and customers.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and governmental regulations.
• Professional attitude and conduct.
• Multi-tasking, interpersonal communication, problem solving and time management required.
• High degree of safety awareness and discipline.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the work of employees.
• Ensure equipment is operated per O&M manuals.
• Check incoming and outgoing material for quality and conformity.
• Implement and monitor housekeeping daily, weekly and monthly.
• Enforce safety rules and regulations.
• Ensure employees are trained on all mobile equipment.
• Maintain safety training records and monthly health/safety documentation.
• Manage material inventories and schedule trucks daily.
• Maintain commodity inventories neatly.
• Lead daily toolbox meetings.
• Implement and maintain 5S program.
• Keep Plant Manager informed of activities and problems.
• Report and document plant and equipment damage and investigate causes.
• Develop and implement JSAs for all job functions in area.
• Maintain knowledge of Pratt Recycling Safety Programs.
• Oversee overtime and travel as required.
• Follow all company policies and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
