Pratt Industries in Ohio is seeking a Production Lead to support the Production Manager, train machine operators, and help reduce downtime while promoting a safe, clean, and high-quality production environment.

You will lead crews to ensure on-time performance, coordinate with maintenance, and conduct weekly safety meetings. The role emphasizes training, teamwork, and adherence to QA processes across the plant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred experience in corrugated industry.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Able to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsabilités

• Train and cross-train employees on machinery and processes.
• Ensure tools and materials are available for crews to accomplish tasks.
• Oversee crews and ensure reliability, dependability, and on-time performance.
• Promote cooperation among crew members and maintain morale.
• Address questions, concerns, and problems from the crew.
• Train crew on the importance of running efficiently.
• Communicate with crew regarding performance.
• Coordinate with supervisor and Maintenance on repairs or preventive maintenance.
• Keep upper management informed of problems affecting department performance.
• Conduct weekly Production/Safety meetings with departmental personnel.
• Communicate with supervision to avoid shift-change problems.
• Improve career skills via seminars and related courses.
• Implement and support all company policies, including safety programs and housekeeping.
• Additional duties may be assigned by management.
