Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. Dayton plant seeks a Production Lead to assist the Production Manager by training operators and reducing downtime. The role will guide crews to maintain a safe, clean environment and uphold high-quality standards in line with in-house QA processes.

Responsibilities include training on machinery, coordinating tools, overseeing on-time performance, and leading weekly Production/Safety meetings, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior corrugated industry experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Train and cross-train employees on machinery and processes.
• Ensure tools and materials are available for crews to accomplish tasks.
• Oversee crews to ensure reliability, dependability, and on-time performance.
• Promote teamwork, morale, and confidentiality within the department.
• Coordinate with supervision on repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Lead weekly Production/Safety meetings with department personnel.
• Communicate performance and drive efficient operation.
• Adapt and enforce company safety programs and housekeeping standards.
