Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Security Guard to maintain a safe, secure environment for employees and assets at our Mount Pleasant facility. The role includes monitoring activity, controlling access, and supporting shipping functions in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED, English literacy, and the ability to work varied shifts. The position offers a base hourly rate with opportunities for growth and benefits after eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.

• Flexible to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Ability to walk long distances and stairs in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant activity and maintain security throughout the facility.
• Conduct hourly security rounds and verify temperatures at various locations.
• Monitor and document all associates, visitors, and vehicle traffic entering and exiting.
• Operate weight master scales and weigh trailers entering and leaving the plant.
• Answer and direct incoming calls after business hours and manage shipping docs.
• Enforce company policies and security protocols; operate company vehicles safely.
• Inspect trailers for cleanliness, condition, and operability before use.
• Maintain records, logs, and reports related to security and plant activity.
