Job summary

Pilgrim's is hiring a Security Guard for the day shift to protect people, assets, and property across the facility. You will monitor activity, perform rounds, control access, and support shipping operations while maintaining compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Previous security experience is a plus.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, effective communication, professional demeanor, ability to work independently, basic computer skills, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Physical requirements include walking long distances, working indoors/outdoors in all weather, climbing stairs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant activity and secure environment.
• Conduct hourly rounds, check temperatures, parking, and gate security.
• Monitor entrances and authorize facility access.
• Inspect trailers for cleanliness and condition.
• Receive shipments and assist inquiries.
• Support shipping by billing loads on weekends.
• Operate company vehicles when authorized.
• Follow all safety and security procedures and maintain records.
