Job summary

Pilgrim's is hiring a Security Guard for day shift at our Georgia plant. You will monitor activity, inspect facilities, control access, and support security operations to protect people and assets.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and good communication. A High School diploma or GED and prior security experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and assist with inquiries as needed.

SECURITY GUARD - DAY SHIFT

Join our Security team and play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our team members, visitors, and company assets. In this position, you'll monitor plant activity, conduct facility inspections, control access to the property, and support daily security operations. You'll interact with associates, vendors, and visitors while ensuring compliance with company policies and security procedures. This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Monitor plant activity and facility operations to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Conduct hourly facility rounds, including checking trailer temperatures, parking violations, and gate security.
• Monitor all associates, visitors, vendors, and vehicle traffic entering and exiting the facility.
• Verify proper parking permits and authorize facility access as required.
• Check trailers, visitors, and vendors in and out of the facility.
• Inspect trailers for cleanliness, seal integrity, and operational condition upon arrival and while on company property.
• Receive shipments of supplies and raw materials.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and assist with inquiries as needed.
• Support Shipping operations by billing loads on weekends or as required.
• Operate company-owned vehicles when authorized.
• Follow and enforce all company policies, safety procedures, and security protocols.
• Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
• Demonstrate flexibility by performing additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Previous security experience is a plus.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, professional demeanor, ability to work independently, basic computer skills preferred, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to walk more than one mile on varying terrain and grades, work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, climb stairs, and perform duties requiring prolonged standing and walking.
• Ability to work any shift as needed, including weekends and holidays.
