Job summary

Pilgrims is seeking a Security Guard to protect the facility and enforce post orders. The role includes monitoring plant activity, performing hourly rounds, weighing trailers, and handling after-hours switchboard duties.

You will inspect equipment, receive shipments, and uphold company policies in all weather conditions. The position requires English proficiency, basic computer skills, and flexibility to work any shift.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Strong computer skills preferred.
• Ability to walk more than one mile in all weather conditions and on stairs.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, etc.).
• Ability to perform tasks without direct supervision.

• Security experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Security Guard Supervisor and completes location Post Orders daily.
• Monitors plant activity; performs hourly rounds checking trailer temps, room temps and gates.
• Monitors all associates entering and exiting building, including car traffic.
• Weight master scales; weigh trailers in and out.
• Answering switchboard after hours and billing loads.
• Follow and implement company policies; operate company vehicles.
• Inspect trailers for cleanliness and operability.
• Receive shipments of supplies and raw materials.
