Job summary

Pilgrim's is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment for team members and assets. The role includes monitoring plant activity, conducting rounds, controlling access, and supporting daily security operations across shifts.

Strong attention to detail, reliable, and calm under pressure are essential, with the ability to work independently in varying weather conditions and a fast-paced setting. Physical requirements apply, including walking and stairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication are essential.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant activity and facility operations to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Conduct hourly rounds, check trailer temperatures, parking, and gate security.
• Monitor associates, visitors, vendors, and vehicle traffic entering/exiting the facility.
• Verify parking permits and authorize access as required.
• Inspect trailers for cleanliness, seal integrity, and condition on arrival and on site.
• Receive shipments of supplies and raw materials.
• Answer phone inquiries and assist as needed.
• Support Shipping by billing loads on weekends or as required.
• Operate company vehicles when authorized.
• Follow and enforce all safety and security policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
• Demonstrate flexibility by taking on additional tasks as assigned.
