Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Security Guard to protect personnel, assets and operations at our manufacturing facility. You will monitor access points, conduct rounds, document activity, and enforce safety and security policies in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include weighing loads, coordinating with shipping, and responding to incidents. The role requires visual vigilance, reliability, and the ability to work varied shifts, including nights and overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant activity and maintain security throughout the facility.
• Conduct hourly security rounds, including verifying trailer temperatures and room temperatures.
• Monitor and document all associates, visitors, and vehicle traffic entering and exiting the facility.
• Operate weight master scales and accurately weigh trailers entering and leaving the plant.
• Answer and direct incoming switchboard calls after business hours.
• Bill outgoing loads and maintain required shipping documentation.
• Follow, enforce, and help implement company policies, procedures, and security protocols.
• Operate company-owned vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
• Inspect trailers to verify cleanliness, condition, and operability before use.
• Receive and document shipments of supplies and raw materials.
• Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports related to security and plant activity.
• Report unusual activities, safety concerns, security incidents, or policy violations to management.
• Assist with other duties and projects as assigned.

Security Guard

The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, company assets, and operations. This position monitors plant activity, controls facility access, conducts routine security inspections, supports shipping and receiving functions, and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures. The Security Guard must demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
