Job summary

Pratt Industries in Dallas, TX is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead plant floor operations, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time shipping. The role requires directing 3 to 30 employees, mentoring staff, and driving process improvements to reduce waste and costs.

You will implement GMPs, monitor performance, and collaborate with the Production Manager to meet customer expectations while maintaining high standards of efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in business, engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience in extrusion, plastic bag converting, or paper converting a plus.
• Proven leadership and structured problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and communicate at all levels.
• Proficient in MS Office; willingness to learn new systems.
• Strong team-building, decision-making, and people management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret complex documents and data.
• Ability to prepare and analyze reports on performance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage plant floor operations to meet customer expectations.
• Ensure safety and GMPs; supervise 3 to 30 employees.
• Plan and organize day-to-day operations for optimal production.
• Reduce waste, control costs, and improve quality.
• Develop staff through mentoring and training.
• Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions.
• Analyze data to identify waste or overtime improvements.
• Communicate goals and progress to management and teams.
