Job summary

Pratt Industries in Dallas, TX is seeking a Production Manager to lead plant operations, drive safety, quality, and cost improvements, and mentor a team of supervisors and operators on the production floor.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage resources and schedules to ensure on-time shipping and optimal productivity, and develop talent through coaching and leadership development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years of related manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience with extrusion, plastic bag converting or paper converting is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop staff and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations.
• Lead production, quality and safety initiatives on the production floor.
• Develop systems to track productivity, waste, downtime, and costs.
• Mentor and develop plant staff; build future leaders through coaching.
• Communicate goals and progress to management and teams; drive continuous improvement.
