Job summary

Hilcorp Energy is seeking a field operator to monitor and operate facility equipment, including pumps, valves, and tanks, while maintaining a safe work environment. The role emphasizes adherence to SPCC and mechanical integrity, with emphasis on on-call responsiveness and 24-hour alarm monitoring.

Candidates should have 2+ years oilfield experience, be capable of working 14-on/14-off 12-hour shifts, and be comfortable in arctic conditions on Alaska's North Slope.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years oilfield experience.
• Able to work 14-on/14-off, 12-hour shifts.
• Willingness to work nights.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Understand how oil wells, facilities, gas plants and seawater interact.
• Capable of unsupervised operations and accurate record-keeping.
• Experience on the North Slope, Alaska preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect facility/field equipment for safe operation.
• Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Perform regular maintenance to maximize production.
• Report issues promptly to supervision (leaks, noises, smells).
• Maintain logs and SPCC compliance; follow safety and regulatory requirements.
• Shut down equipment per supervisor in emergencies.
• Be available for multiple field locations and monitor alarms 24/7.
