Job summary

Hilcorp Energy Company in Alaska seeks an experienced oilfield operator to monitor and operate wells and surface equipment, ensuring safe daily operations across multiple pads. You will manage rounds, document readings, and uphold SPCC and safety procedures in a challenging arctic environment.

The role requires on-call availability, the ability to drive field vehicles, and collaboration with the Production Control Center to respond to emergencies and maintain production flow.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum oilfield experience.
• Ability to work a 14/14 day on/off 12-hour shift.
• Demonstrates increasing understanding of how wells and facilities work together.
• Ability to work unsupervised and maintain safety and environmental standards.
• Ability to manage multiple pads and supervise on-site personnel.
• Good math and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Shut in and bring on wells as needed.
• Oversee and approve work on prescribed well pads.
• Proficient in permit to work procedures and SPCC plans.
• Inspect equipment for safety, leaks, and wear; recommend repairs.
• Record readings and test results; monitor meters and pressures.
• Open/shut valves to regulate flow and respond to emergencies.
• Work at multiple pads and coordinate with control center.
