Job summary

Hilcorp Energy Company is seeking an experienced field operator for Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. The role involves monitoring and operating facility equipment, performing regular maintenance, and ensuring safety and compliance across the site in a hazardous Arctic environment.

You will be responsible for readings, equipment performance, and detailed record-keeping while collaborating with a team. The position requires rotation shifts, on-call readiness, and adherence to SPCC and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years minimum oilfield experience.
• Ability to work a fourteen (14) day on and fourteen (14) day off 12hour shift work schedule.
• Ability and willingness to work nights.
• Requires less supervision in the performance of routine duties.
• Experience with Prudhoe Bay operations and North Slope familiarity is a plus.
• Ability to operate and monitor field equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Follow Company Policies and Procedures.
• Monitor and inspect facility/field equipment to ensure it is maintained and in good/safe operating condition.
• Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Perform regular equipment maintenance to maximize production capacity and quality.
• Communicate in a hazardous atmosphere and report issues to supervision immediately.
• Ensure compliance including Mechanical Integrity, Operator Certification and MOC adherence.
• Complete daily readings on pressures, temperatures, and level indication.
• Maintain the work area clean, safe, and organized.
• Retrieve and test product samples for quality and integrity.
• Maintain detailed Facility/Field Logbooks for reporting.
• Implement SPCC as needed.
• Inspect pipelines, valves, and flanges for malfunctions.
• Shut down equipment per supervisor in emergencies.
• May work at multiple fields.
• Monitor alarms 24 hours per day.
• Adhere to company values and schedule.
