Job summary

Hilcorp Energy Company in Deadhorse, Alaska seeks an experienced oilfield technician to monitor and operate wells and surface equipment across multiple pads. You will follow permit to work procedures, maintain safety, oversee work on prescribed pads, and respond to alarms on a 14-on/14-off schedule.

This role requires basic math, mechanical and computer skills, and the ability to work in Arctic conditions while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Two years oilfield experience minimum.
• Ability to work 14 days on and 14 days off, 12-hour shifts.
• Demonstrates understanding of how oil/gas facilities operate together.
• Familiar with safety procedures and permit to work.
• Basic math and mechanical skills, plus basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Shut in and bring on wells as needed.
• Oversee and approve work on prescribed well pads.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues, leaks or wear.
• Create work orders for repairs identified to be needed.
• Record readings and test results, including daily rounds.
• Open/shut valves to regulate flow; respond to alarms.
• Maintain records and work safely following SPCC plan.
• Coordinate with Production Control Center and supervisors.
