Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking an Operator for the Sabine River Operations in Orange, Texas. You will operate process equipment, monitor conditions, and collaborate with the shift team to ensure safe, reliable production.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with 2+ years in chemical operations (or 3+ years military experience). A valid US driver’s license and the ability to work 12-hour shifts are essential. Dow offers extensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in an Operations role within a Chemical Manufacturing environment, or 3+ years of relevant military experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must be able to work a 12-hour shift schedule and overtime as required, including holidays and weekends.
• Must have a valid US driver's license.
• Ability to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship offered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Follow Operating Discipline policies, procedures, standards and practices to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
• Operate process equipment by monitoring process conditions, key performance metrics, field equipment and control systems; make decisions to maintain or achieve desired rates and conditions.
• Serve on site Emergency Response Team (ERT) and attend required training.
• Conduct effective shift relief and handoffs to arriving shift team.
• Identify improvements and opportunities to enhance plant performance using facility processes and change management.
• Maintain qualifications in assigned areas and complete training goals in a timely manner.
• Mentor and train new and existing operations personnel on process operation and troubleshooting.
