Job summary

Dow has an exciting Operator role in Orange, Texas within Sabine River Operations. You will operate process equipment, monitor key metrics, and collaborate with shift teams to maintain safe and reliable plant performance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in chemical manufacturing operations (or 3+ years in military), and the ability to work 12-hour shifts with overtime. Valid US driver’s license and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years in operations in a chemical manufacturing environment or 3+ years in relevant military experience.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shift schedule and overtime as required, including holidays and weekends.
• Must have valid US driver's license.
• Ability to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Follow operating discipline policies to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
• Operate process equipment by monitoring conditions and control systems, maintaining desired rates and conditions.
• Serve on site Emergency Response Team (ERT) and attend required training.
• Conduct effective shift relief and handoffs to arriving shift team.
• Identify improvements and opportunities using facility improvement processes and communication tools.
• Maintain qualifications and complete training goals in a timely manner.
• Mentor and train operations personnel on process operation and troubleshooting.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled tasks arising from events.
• Participate in immediate response and severe weather activities as assigned.
