Job summary

Dow has an exciting Operator opportunity in Orange, Texas within Sabine River Operations. You will work with the shift team to operate plant equipment safely, reliably, and efficiently, escalating issues as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in a chemical operations role (or 3+ years military), a valid US driver’s license, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts with overtime including holidays and weekends. Dow offers comprehensive benefits and training.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years in an Operations role in chemical manufacturing, or 3+ years military experience.
• Able to work 12-hour shift and overtime, including holidays/weekends.
• Valid US Driver's License and US work authorization (no visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Follow Operating Discipline policies to ensure safe, reliable operation of assigned plant areas.
• Operate process equipment by monitoring conditions and control systems; adjust to meet plant goals.
• Serve on site Emergency Response Team (ERT) and complete required training.
• Conduct effective shift relief and handoffs to arriving team.
• Use process knowledge to improve plant performance and discipline; communicate changes.
• Maintain qualifications and training goals; address gaps as needed.
• Mentor and train new and existing operations personnel.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled tasks during shifts; respond to incidents.
• Execute Immediate Response/Severe Weather activities as assigned.
