Job summary

Dow is seeking an Operator for our Sabine River Operations in Orange, Texas. You will work with a shift team to operate plant processes safely and reliably, escalating issues when needed and supporting continuous improvement.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in chemical operations or 3+ years military experience, and must be able to work 12-hour shifts with overtime. A valid US driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years in an Operations role in a Chemical Manufacturing environment, or 3+ years of relevant military experience.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shift schedule and overtime, including Holidays and Weekends.
• Must have valid US Driver's License and be able to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship offered.

Responsibilities

• Follow operating discipline policies to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
• Operate process equipment by monitoring conditions and control systems to maintain desired rates and conditions.
• Serve on site Emergency Response Team (ERT) and complete required training (Fire, HAZMAT, Medical).
• Conduct shift relief and handoffs to ensure effective communication between shifts.
• Identify and implement plant improvements using change management processes and communication tools.
• Maintain qualifications and complete training goals in a timely manner.
• Mentor and train operations personnel on process operation, troubleshooting, and emergency response.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled tasks arising from non-routine events.
• Participate in Immediate Response/Severe Weather activities as assigned.
