Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Shift Supervisor to direct the Operations Department and plant staff, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operation per company policies and environmental standards. The role reports to the Operations or Plant Manager and involves on-site leadership across shift crews, training, and administrative duties.

The ideal candidate will have power plant experience, MA licensure where required, and strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (accredited).
• Bachelor’s degree, Associate degree or equivalent is desirable.
• Two years working in a power plant environment as PO or comparable position, or 5 years related experience.
• ASME QRO Provisional license. (ASME: American Society of Mechanical Engineers)
• For all Massachusetts facility's, a 2nd Class Engineers license is required.
• Math skills sufficient to complete required job functions.
• Knowledge and understanding of the operation and control of a steam generating power plant.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises Operations Department and other personnel to ensure safe, efficient operations during duty hours.
• Maintains and enforces company policies, environmental compliance, and safety requirements.
• Trains shift personnel in safety procedures and equipment use, plant operating procedures, and environmental standards and compliance; implements training programs.
• Enforces lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and welding/cutting permits.
• Creates CMMS work requests and maintains logs of operations and events.
• Writes reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals as required or directed by facility operations.
