Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Plant Operator to maintain safe, compliant boiler operation, optimize generation and emissions, and lead plant staff. The role emphasizes safety, environmental compliance and efficient energy production.

Applicants should have power plant experience, mechanical aptitude and the ability to obtain an ASME QRO Provisional license. Massachusetts sites require a 2nd Class Engineers license.

Qualifications

• Two years in a power plant as APO or 5 years related power plant experience.
• Mechanical skills for replacing shear pins, valve repacking, and inspections.
• Ability to obtain ASME QRO Provisional license.
• Math skills to complete required tasks.
• Knowledge of operating a steam generating power plant.
• Massachusetts facilities require 2nd Class Engineers license.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant operational and emissions data.
• Respond to changing conditions to maximize safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate and train Assistant Utility Operator and other staff.
• Perform equipment inspections during outages.
• Carry out physical duties maintaining boilers and equipment.
• Maintain a positive work environment with customers and staff.
• May lead 2-5 employees to maintain safety and operation.
• Fill in as acting Shift Supervisor when requested.
