Job summary

Amrize is seeking an Operations Manager to drive production and distribution objectives across asphalt plants, while mentoring staff and ensuring safe, compliant operations. The role prioritizes cost control, inventory management and cross-functional collaboration to meet budgets and service goals.

The candidate will lead safety initiatives, coordinate with suppliers, and uphold the company’s standards for high-quality output and customer service across multiple sites in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; comparable experience may substitute.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience.
• Prior experience in asphalt production.
• Proficiency with SAP ERP, Google Mail, and MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Local travel across MD, DC, VA, WV and PA.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production and distribution objectives at asphalt plants.
• Mentor subordinates to meet quality and productivity targets.
• Oversee safety programs, inspections and incident investigations.
• Manage plant purchasing, inventory and CAPEX requirements.
• Deliver on budget objectives and continuous improvement.
