Job summary

Amrize is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee production and distribution objectives at asphalt plants in the Middleton MA area. You will mentor staff, drive safety, quality, and productivity while aligning with budget targets and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include managing plant operations, coordinating purchasing, maintaining inventory, and delivering on CAPEX and special projects, with a focus on continuous improvement and strong on-site leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a related field.
• Prior experience in Asphalt Production is preferred.
• Proficiency with SAP ERP, Google Mail, and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Ensure Environmental, Health & Safety standards are met and regulatory compliance is maintained.
• Achieve plant strategic objectives by planning, directing and monitoring activities.
• Maintain plant performance through clear leadership and performance management.
• Ensure product quality and customer service levels at assigned sites.
• Support budgeting, cost control, and CAPEX initiatives; oversee inventory and purchasing.
• Adhere to laws and company policies; promote continuous improvement and safe work practices.
• Schedule personnel weekly across asphalt plants and coordinate with suppliers.
