Job summary

Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead the plant's full operating rhythm, from safety and staffing to scheduling and output, reporting to the General Manager.

The role requires directing production across shifts, owning safety programs, and driving continuous improvement in throughput and cost per unit, with a focus on accuracy in inventory and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing operations/plant management experience
• Experience with production scheduling and forecasting tools
• Experience with ERP/WMS and cycle counting
• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and manufacturing compliance
• Proven leadership managing multi-shift hourly workforces

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day manufacturing operations across all shifts, ensuring alignment with production and quality standards
• Own plant safety programs, ensuring OSHA compliance and safety training
• Design onboarding and training programs for production staff, and build cross-training plans
• Own reactive and proactive production scheduling and coordinate with sales, procurement, and logistics
• Maintain real-time inventory counts and partner with warehouse teams for accurate transactions
