Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Plant Modeling and Simulation Engineer to build scalable 0D/1D plant models for propulsion, chassis, ADAS, and infotainment. You will validate models, support VM/VP workflows, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with system requirements and verification processes.

The role emphasizes model quality, governance, and continuous improvement, with exposure to XIL environments and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in plant modeling, simulation, or V&V environments.
• Strong understanding of Model-Based Development and virtual testing methods.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink or similar modeling tools.
• Knowledge of 0D/1D physical system modeling.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and methods.
• Experience in at least one scripting language.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 0D/1D plant models for physical systems.
• Validate models and correlate with requirements and test data.
• Support model reduction and optimization for efficiency.
• Integrate plant models into XIL workflows and environments.
• Collaborate with controls and system engineers to align models with strategies.
