We are seeking a Plant Modeling and Simulation Engineer to develop, validate, and maintain high-quality plant models supporting XIL, virtual validation, and system integration activities. This role focuses on building scalable, reusable models across multiple vehicle domains and ensuring alignment with system-level requirements and verification workflows.

The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams including system design, architecture, controls, and testing organizations to enable efficient virtual development and validation using model-based techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain 0D/1D plant models representing physical systems (e.g., propulsion, chassis, ADAS, infotainment).

Ensure models meet appropriate fidelity levels depending on development phase (concept, design, integration, validation).

Perform model validation and correlation against requirements and test data.

Support model reduction and optimization for simulation efficiency.

Model-Based Development Support

Integrate plant models into XIL workflows and environments.

Support virtual testing, requirement validation, and system verification activities.

Collaborate with controls and system engineers to ensure alignment between plant models and control strategies.

Contribute to continuous integration pipelines for model development and validation.

Work with:

System and functional design teams

Ensure plant models:

Are compatible with simulation platforms

Support cross-domain integration

Enable efficient data exchange and reuse

Model Quality & Governance:

Support initiatives to improve:

Model fidelity and performance

Reusability and scalability

Contribute to tool evaluation, benchmarking, and process enhancements

Mandatory Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field

A minimum of 3 years of experience in plant modeling, simulation, or V&V environments

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $22.19/hour - $34.67/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits.
