Job summary

Automotive & Systems Engineering is seeking a Plant Modeling & Simulation Engineer in Auburn Hills, MI. You will develop 0D/1D plant models and integrate them into XIL workflows to support virtual validation and system verification.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering and at least 3 years of plant modeling or V&V experience, with MATLAB/Simulink proficiency and experience with CI/CD and configuration management. This position is onsite in Auburn Hills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in plant modeling, simulation, or V&V environments.
• Strong understanding of Model-Based Development and virtual testing methods.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and 0D/1D modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 0D/1D plant models for propulsion, chassis, ADAS, and infotainment.
• Ensure model fidelity across development phases from concept to validation.
• Perform model validation and correlation against requirements and test data.
• Integrate plant models into XIL workflows to support virtual testing and verification.
• Collaborate with systems and controls teams to align models with control strategies and CI/CD pipelines.
