Tundra Technical Solutions seeks a Plant Modelling & Simulation Engineer to build scalable 0D/1D plant models for complex vehicle domains, enabling virtual validation and system integration.

You will work with design, architecture, controls, and testing teams to ensure model fidelity, support model-based development, and improve reusability across platforms. On-site in Auburn Hills, this contract role emphasizes technical leadership and collaborative problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in plant modeling, simulation, or V&V environments.
• Strong understanding of Model-Based Development (MBD) and virtual testing methods.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink or similar modeling tools.
• Knowledge of physical system modeling (0D/1D).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and methods.
• Experience in one scripting language.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain 0D/1D plant models for physical systems (propulsion, chassis, ADAS, infotainment).
• Ensure models meet fidelity for development phases (concept, design, integration, validation).
• Perform model validation and correlation with requirements and test data.
• Support model reduction and optimization for simulation efficiency.
• Integrate plant models into XIL workflows and validation environments.
• Collaborate with controls and system engineers to align models with control strategies.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for model development and validation.
