Job summary

ManpowerGroup in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Plant Model Engineer to develop, validate, and maintain high-quality 0D/1D plant models for virtual development and validation. The role requires 3+ years in plant modeling or V&V and a strong MBD background.

You will work with MATLAB/Simulink and other tools to ensure model fidelity, support optimization, and integrate models into XIL workflows for thorough system verification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of plant modeling, simulation or V&V experience.
• Strong understanding of Model-Based Development and virtual testing methods.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink or similar modeling tools including 0D/1D modeling.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and problem-solving/analytic skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and maintain 0D/1D plant models for virtual development and validation.
• Ensure model fidelity across concept, design, integration, and validation phases.
• Support model reduction and optimization for efficient verification workflows.
• Integrate plant models into XIL workflows and environments for virtual testing.
• Collaborate with system design, architecture, controls, and testing teams, contributing to CI/CD pipelines.
