Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance teams across the plant, facilities, utilities, and powerhouse.

You will oversee preventative maintenance, repairs, and planning to keep production lines running at peak efficiency and ensure equipment reliability. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing setting; strong problem-solving, communication, and safety compliance skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required
• 2+ years of maintenance leadership experience
• Ability to lead problem solving and troubleshooting across processes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• May be required to work long hours and weekends

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in predictive and preventive maintenance and repairs
• Plan and schedule maintenance with Production; develop TPM and SOPs; support troubleshooting and equipment failures
• Ensure maintenance tasks comply with USDA regulations and maintain accurate records
• Take responsibility in absence of key personnel for critical tasks
• Drive a positive employee experience through leadership and coaching
