Job description

3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic - Millville Quarry, WV

This position supports operations at the Millville Quarry in Millville, WV. Responsibilities include installing and assembling new machines and equipment, maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery. Typical hours are between 10:00pm-7:00am, but may vary based on business needs.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Diagnosing and repairing machine failures
• Performing preventive maintenance inspections and servicing machines throughout the plant
• Cleaning machines and parts, removing and reinstalling as necessary
• Oiling and lubricating moving parts to ensure optimal performance
• Recording and reporting damaged, worn, or broken parts
• Installing replacement parts
• Scheduling repairs for faulty equipment or structures
• Performing general maintenance of the plant and grounds

What We Are Looking For:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Required Work Experience:

• At least 3 years of experience in a plant or industrial environment
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical practices, tools, materials, and techniques
• Understanding of occupational hazards and safety precautions
• Knowledge of electrical/mechanical theory
• Skill in using tools and equipment
• Ability to locate and correct defects in electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings
• Excellent oral communication skills with attention to detail
• Basic computer skills
• Analytical thinking skills
• Ability to work in inclement weather, climb ladders/scaffolding, work in confined spaces with high voltage electricity
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Reliable transportation
• Strong safety orientation
• Ability to work second shift hours (start between 10:00pm-7:00am), Monday through Friday, and occasionally Saturdays
