Hourly base pay rate is $31.49 - $47.26/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Fleet Services is the leading provider of on-site mobile maintenance and repair services nationwide, offering mobile on-site fleet service for light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers. We also service customers utilizing over 50 nationwide service centers, providing accident repair, painting, refurbishment, and heavy mechanical repair. Supported by a 24/7 call center, we provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services to fleets anywhere, anytime.

We are hiring a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician. Responsibilities include performing licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and other duties. The role is heavily relied upon for diagnostics and triage of complex repairs, functioning as a lead on jobsites and a consultant for customers. A successful candidate complies with all policies and achieves high performance metrics.

DUTIES:

1. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile environment.
2. Perform minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment, including electrical, brake, cooling systems, and more.
3. Diagnose, adjust, and repair various truck equipment using test instruments.
4. Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper functioning.
5. Manage parts inventory and perform safety checks on company-issued service vehicles.
6. Work with clients to assess needs and provide solutions.
7. Use tools and equipment, document work, and complete all forms accurately.
8. Maintain productivity and work within standard repair times.
9. Obtain parts from vendors and communicate with management regarding repairs.
10. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possess and supply necessary hand tools.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) and 608/609 certifications within 18 months.
• Pass a DOT-regulated background screening and physical.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet DOT requirements.
• At least 21 years old due to interstate commerce regulations.
• Safe driving record, with a 3-year MVR review.
