This full-time, remote position follows a Monday through Friday schedule (37.5 hours/week). Occasional in-person attendance at the Camp Hill, PA office and client visits in Pennsylvania are required. Telework privileges may be suspended based on organizational needs.

Organizational Relationship

Reports to the Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network Supervisor or, in their absence, to the Assistant Director of the Center for Schools and Communities.

Job Description

The primary responsibility is to provide information and referral assistance via the helpline concerning adoption, foster care, and permanency issues, including crisis support. Additional duties include technical assistance, resource outreach, project completion, and supporting related statewide organizations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist helpline callers, assess needs, and provide referrals to appropriate services, ensuring accurate data entry.
  • Inform clients of available services and evaluate their needs to connect them with local agencies or legal services.
  • Support out-of-state families through the SWAN Connect process and monitor inquiries via social media and email.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and timely service delivery.
  • Participate in outreach, data collection, and partnership activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related field with 3 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of Pennsylvania child welfare and mental health systems.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, database software, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Additional Requirements
  • Valid Act 34, Act 151, and Act 114-FBI clearances, renewed as required.
  • Completion of Mandated Reporter Training every five years.
Physical and Work Environment
  • Primarily sedentary with occasional walking and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Work mostly indoors, with travel to various sites as needed.
  • Must be able to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
