Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials is seeking a Utility Person to join our team in Mascot, TN. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and cross-functional duties spanning maintenance, production, and equipment operation.

You will grease and lubricate plant equipment, maintain housekeeping, operate equipment, and perform routine maintenance on site. Typical duties include mobile and plant maintenance, inspections, and assisting in production and quality control while maintaining accurate records and

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
Experience in the building materials industry is preferred.
Safety conscious and dependable with willingness to perform varied tasks.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment.
Inspect equipment daily and maintain records.
Operate skid steer, front end loader, and other plant equipment safely.
Assist in production, loading, shipping, and quality control.
Maintain good housekeeping and roadways; ensure safe traffic flow.
Operate an automated scale and related computer software to generate customer tickets.
Provide site training to visitors and direct customers within the site.
Record aggregate tonnage and sales activities; assist with basic reports.
